Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2017 timeline and updates

Dec 11th applicant.

My ECAS changed from ‘In process’ to ‘Decision Made’. Does this mean they’ve finished processing my application? There’s nothing saying a decision has been made on both sides.

To see both sides, you have to log on ECAS as the sponsor. But if you see decision made on the PA side already, then for sure the sponsor also has decision made as the sponsor must be approved before the PA is approved in principle. So yes, if decision made on the PA side, you're done and waiting for a landing invitation.

Just received letter for AIP yesterday.
What's the next step? Im so excited.

with AIP letter, you can register for the provincial health coverage if not already covered. The next step is DM.... and landing!

That's a long drive! I do hope we hear something soon. My husband received the SA letter just yesterday. It really does take some time after the updates online for us to get the emails.

It's variable, but typically, SA and AIP letters are the same day or the next day after the change appears in ECAS. However, there are some people that get them with longer delay. The decision made letter is the most unpredictable one and many never receive it.

Hi! Has anyone from Vancouver recently received the landing letter?
I got SA and DM letter on 1st Oct. ( no aip!)
I called cic yesterday and they said that there is no timeline you will be contacted by the local office before the 12 month mark

Also i was told by the agent that the 12 month mark will be calculated from when they starting processing the application which is 29th jan,2018 , even though my application was delivered on 15th dec 2017.

Im so confused as to when should I expect to officially land.

From what I have seen over the last few years, Vancouver office contact people about 3-4 weeks after DM.

Congrats! Did you ever get a DM letter?

Never ... direct landing letter

I always get an agent 15 minutes (or later) before closing. You can try that.

I tried calling them today and I managed to talk to someone. I was told it takes a few weeks to send the open work permit which I don't need because my permanent resident application was approved and I will be contacted for a landing interview although my account status hasn't changed. I need to start working I have a family to provide it is crazy how much time they take to write or send a letter that someone's life depends on. Thanks for your respond and advice. I wish the best for you as well

Cic started reviewing my eligibility on oct 15 . With past experiences m so negative . Now I feel like I will be hanging up in between . I wish it finish soon .
