Thank you!
I'd like to suggest you to send inquiry or request thru webform, maybe it works. or at least you can know where your application is.
Good luck to you guys!
I did that too actually twice a long time ago since the application reached beyond the 12 months normal processing times I even contacted my local MP too and ordered GCMS notes but no progress yet still stuck from security check.

Good luck to you!
Congratulations for all who got approved for PR application.
I am march 4th applicant I have received my AIP and SA on September 17.
Sponsorship application status: DM
permanent residents application status: in process.
How long it takes for DM on PR application side?
Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you that, 6 months after the suggested deadline for application process (12 months since application submission date, whici was on March 13, 2018)), I received a request to submit another Medical report for my so, who is in the application as my dependent. The reason of the request is "his Medical report will expire before your application processing is competed." So I sent my son to 2nd Medical report.
Before I have a confirmation that my son's medical submitted, I got an email informing me that I am scheduled for an interview for final decision on Permanent Resident on Oct 5th, which is a Saturday. They said it's an "extended work hours".
So I guess that means my application was almost approved except for the last step of verifying me over the interview.
Final result awaits, but I thought I should share with you all.
Have a nice day!
Congrats Jenny!!! I am still waiting. No updates on the application. Feb 7th applicant. So stressed. But happy for you.
Hi Rona,
I got a tip from a friend saying that each time you call/ submit a request to IRCC, they have to make a note on your file. If your file has so many notes, the supervisor would have to look at it to determine what needs to be done. I kinda got this tip late, but I did send them a lot of request via webform for different reason. Similar to Jenny's case, I got 2 notices back to back so quick after 18 months of waiting with a big silence in the last 8 months.
Good luck to you!

I am in Vancouver area. For me it took 5 days since the DM letter to get the interview letter, and then 2 weeks till the landing interview. Hope this helps.
Hi
I am currently on the IEC visa due to expire Oct 19. I applied for OWP and PR July 26th AOR August 23rd.
I know its unlikely to recieve my new OWP by October 19th so my question is do I have implied visitor status until my OWP comes or do I have to apply for some kind of visitor visa?
I called IRCC today and they advised I have implied status and can carry on working just not get paid until my new SIN which I am doubtful is true,
Any comments would be helpul.
Thanks!
Hey Aliciahud!
I'm going through the exact same thing as you, but a year later! I'm wondering what was the outcome of your situation? Is it true you can continue to work but not get paid until your new Sin arrived after your OWP was approved?
Would love to hear back from you!
Thanks so much in advance,
Monika

Hi Monika,
In your implied status you can keep working in the same condition as ur old work permit if you had already applied before ur permit expired. You will get paid regularly like always. There is no way any employer could stop paying you for your work. The only thing here is if you have applied and if your employer wants to see. Just prove that you have applied and your in implied status. Most of employers knows about implied status.
I used a this to prove -

Hope this helps

After 19th months, my husband received the news that he passed eligibility. When I checked on the cic website, my file is still processing, but on the sponsorship application status and pr application status, both said DM. However, I just saw the update from the SAS that the eligibility passed, and nothing updated on the pr one. Anyone has any clues?

What do you mean by SAS?
If eCAS says DM both for the sponsorship and PR application, then presumably you are just waiting for a landing letter from the Montreal office (you are a QC applicant right?). You may or may not get a DM letter before that also. It's good news if you didn't get a procedural fairness letter beforehand.

SAS - Sponsorship application status. My application is at Vancouver office now, but yeah, I am a QC application. The eCAS says DM for both but when I click to see the details, on the SAS side, it just put eligibility passed, and nothing on the Pr one

The details won't tell you much. For me, these are the 3 lines I have on the sponsorship side:
- We received your application to sponsor xxx on July 26, 2018.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 24, 2018.
- We started processing your application on August 23, 2018.
That's it. But our application is complete.
