I downloaded Ecopr today. But I am concerned about how long will it take to receive PR card through given Canada Post strike. I don't know whether IRCC is going to dispatch the PR cards??

Do you need to travel outside and return very soon? If not, you don't need your PR card.

My wife is waiting for a refugee travel document and IRCC sent it out using Purolator. It is my belief that they'll use an alternative mail service instead of Canada Post.

Only in cases where expedited service is needed and the item would have been couriered anyway... Otherwise, it's scabbing and Purolator Teamsters have stated they won't accept packages or mail that would have otherwise been handled by Canada Post.

Hi everyone, I need your help. My visitor record expired on November 23rd while I’m still waiting for my eCOPR. Do I need to apply to restore my status and visitor record, or can I just wait until my PR card arrives? By the way, I got my P2 on Oct, 29th but haven't heard back since then.

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask if IRCC conducts interviews for common-law applications, or if it depends on their filing process.

it depends on whether they’re satisfied with your proof

Hi everyone, I'd like to ask if IRCC conducts interviews for common-law applications, or if it depends on their filing process.
Interviews are rare and used as a last resort if IRCC isn't satisfied after asking for more documents or an explanation.

Latest update: received an email from IRCC today letting me know that, due to the Canada Post strike, my PR card is available for pickup at my local IRCC office. I plan to pick it up next week! The email said they will resume mailing cards in early 2025 for those unable to get theirs in person.

For reference, I received eCOPR on November 15th.
