Could someone shed some light on
- Does every sponsor receive a separate sponsor approval (SA)?
- Those who have received a separate SA, what was the content/message written in it?
- Does getting an AIP (to PA) implicitly mean a positive decision on sponsorship application, as in, the sponsor was also found eligible to sponsor (an implicit SA)?
I will answer from my experience. Can't say I am 10000% sure
1. I think so. The sponsor should receive an email about it. (but that was back in Jan this year) I don't know if it changed. However, we never got the mail version of it, though. I feel like you should be able to check on your tracker to see if the eligibility portion is completed and if it is, you guys should be receiving the email
2. My husband got an email with the subject: "
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada - Communication to client/Immigration, Réfugiés et Citoyenneté Canada - Communication auprès de la clientèle - CPCM / CTDM - Inland Sponsorship Eligibility Decision Letter XXXXXXX "
In the email, it would be something like:
Dear Client,
This email is regarding the Application for Permanent Residence that you submitted to this office.
Attached please find a letter related to your application. Please fully read the attachment and save this message for your records.
Then in the attached PDF, it should be...
SPONSOR's NAME
This refers to the Application to Sponsor a Member of the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in
Canada Class you submitted to this office on behalf of PA's NAME and family
(if applicable).
You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Application for Permanent
Residence (APR) for your relative will be processed separately and he/she will be contacted
shortly.
If you received this communication via email, please note that another copy will not be mailed to
you.
3. Can't say for sure,. All the stages have to be completed and we might not know until we got eCOPR?
