Hi , I have applied for my wife's PR under family class on 14-May and SOWP on 02-Jun, No updates apart from AOR. Her status as visitor expiring on 25 Aug (6 months) completion, should I apply for extension or since work permit is applied that is not required.
PR Tracker is not working for a lot of people. Report an error when you try to create an account and they say you can't. If enough people report errors, *maybe* IRCC will do something about fixing the broken UI.

Since she has applied for OWP, my understanding is she should have maintained status as a visitor until a decision is made on the OWP. I could be wrong, you may want to ask a lawyer.

My wife had a similar situation, I applied for her visitor visa extension before submitting her OWP application. I would go ahead and submit the visitor visa extension application. Ideally it should have been submitted by 25th July ( one month before the current status expires ), but you can still submit the application. While you may have implied status while waiting to hear back on the OWP application, it's good to have a backup.
