I'm May 11, 2017 applicant, it's almost one year & they haven't even started my eligibility yet! No decision made, background check isn't done yet!! It looks like it'll take a long time to get everything done!!

I think you can contact CIC on 12th May and tell them that 12 month timeline is fine and you haven’t heard anything from them. But I hope you will hear something before that.

I think you can contact CIC on 12th May and tell them that 12 month timeline is fine and you haven’t heard anything from them. But I hope you will hear something before that.

March 2017.. still waiting.. My Ecas changed from In Process/ Received to In process / In process. CIC asked for Police Record Based on fingerprints last March 01, I submitted and they received it.. Waiting and waiting

Mine still say in process/ received. I called them on Monday and they said my background was finished... I just don't get why is taking so long... The agent said that they have everything they need so there is nothing to do but wait... Almost 2 months late in the process (I'm March 10), so frustrating.

I hear ya! My husband is May 18, 2017 applicant. Have not heard anything from CIC since his medical passed in December. Let's hope these next few weeks go quickly.

Hi Everyone - my wife who is pregnant received a request to get her medical done. When she went to the doctor, she was provided with a Pregnancy Deferral Letter issued through e-medical and was asked to send it to CIC. question is how do we send it to CIC?

I received the update at the end of the day. I'm waiting for approval

According to the other groups the approval will happen soon. You can receive approval at any time.

Hi everyone, I am a october 11 applicant. Just now when I check my CIC, it shows I passed my medical exam. The thing is I was still waiting for my request, the only medical exam i did was 3 years ago when I was applying for study permit from outside Canada. I saw some folks here need to re-do it cuz it is only valid for 6 months or something. My ECAS changed to "medical results have been received". Is that normal? Anyone has similar experience? Thank you.
