Could you link the OWP app to your onl8ne account?

Yes I did a day after AOR in January. When I called CIC I gave the agent my application number for OWP and she told me she sees my application. Everything looks fine, I also paid the right fees, I had status when applied, attached all the required documents and checklist, connected to my online profile... I am just a bit worried that it takes so long.

Any December 11 applicants still waiting for OWP? I am December 12 and still haven’t received anything. Tomorrow will be exactly 4 months according to the CIC online profile and still no changes.

I'm a 11th Dec applicant.

I called the call centre yesterday saying it's pretty much been 4months since I applied. They said they'll email the Mississauga office informing them that my application has reached the 4 months wait.

They said they're not able to do anything else and I just have to wait.

So here I am waiting, It's so frustrating!

Not yet. I m March 30 th applicant. Did medical in last November. No update since then!

I'm March 2017 too. The last update I've got was on March 8th 2018 - it was a request for the CSQ (only for people who are in Quebec). I applied and now waiting.

So sad to know that there is more people who passed their deadline... But keep it positive, we are very close to the end of this torture!

1. We received XXX application for permanent residence on March 7, 2017.
2. Medical results have been received.
3. We sent XXX correspondence on March 31, 2017

No updates since.

I just passed the medical exam!
My background check has been processing since December. Does anyone know how long it will take for CIC to process it?
How long until they start reviewing my eligibility?

i believe, generally accepted time frame is 3-6 months to process background check. mine has been in progress since November 1st.

Are they going to request another police check (RCMP?) with fingerprints? So far my CIC file says "We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes." I went to the police station to get my certificate and they didn't take my fingerprints.
Just wondering if I'll have to submit more things, or if I just have to be patient and wait for the landing interview email...

if there's someone out there with a name similar to yours that has criminal records, they might ask for fingerprints to make sure you're not the person in question. i provided my fingerprints upfront. otherwise you gotta just sit and wait.

Jan 9th OWP applicant here Just checked my CIC account and status changed to " We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements."
