I don't know from were you took your information but RAMQ don't accept AOR instead of AIP. They do give coverage if you have OWP+AOR and work full time but it doesn't give you access to prescription drug plan as you would have with AIP
Wouldn't it be nice if suddenly your application showed that your medical were received and passed? Well this is what happened to me, we have never received a medical request and now it is showing as passed.
I am wondering if they've found an old medical that my wife has taken 1,5 year ago for other visa or it is just another glitch on the system.
Anyway that might be a good sign that they are starting touching April applications.
It's most likely a glitch. I've seen these happen to people before. But you can never be too sure about IRCC. There's no way they would accept something over 1 year old as a valid med.

No, you can only get a SIN once you receive your OWP. You have to take your OWP and identification documents to ServiceCanada to get a SIN number.
Also, not getting an AIP has nothing to do with being inland. Some applicants don't get an AIP, but most of them have gotten AIP. It's normally SA, AIP and DM. I know of some who got just SA and then a landing interview call directly, no AIP or DM. It's all case-by-case.
Based on the new process, most apps get SA, AIP and DM very close to each other near the end of the process.
Hi, I am a student in Toronto. My husband received his PR last sept. WE have applied for the spousal sponsorship 2 weeks back. so I guess , i must be exempted from the international fees?
Also , in what stage would i be exempted from that ( as my knowledge goes, its after i get the " Approval - in - principle"). If yes, in how much time can I expect that.
For Ontario colleges and universities, if you are married to a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident, you qualify for domestic tuition fees regardless of if you're PR, Canadian or if you've applied for sponsorship or not. The "Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development" has a "Operating Funds Distribution Manual " that regulates this. I contacted my university and they requested a scan of our marriage certificate and a proof of my wife's citizenship or PR so I sent a scan of her Canadian passport, and they changed my fees right away. I've seen these rules on a couple of university websites. Here's one from Western that you can look at: http://www.registrar.uwo.ca/student_finances/fees_refunds/who_pays_canadian_tuition_fees.html
And here is the link to the actual manual of Ontario that says this: http://droppdf.com/v/6XJ2l
Just contact your school's registrar or student fees/finances department and ask them. You can show them the manual if they say anything.
Thank you for your explanation! I will work on it next week. But from CSQ Guide that I read, I can have health insurance card after I got CSQ? Is it the same thing? I mean like PR, we have PR status, and then PR card?

After you explained, I think yes, it might be case by case. Sorry but what is SA? I'm sorry to ask a lot but I feel like a headache is coming to me soon so I cannot think well! Lots of works for papers huhu

This happened to a friend of mine who applied on January 2017, his ECAS just showed that they were reviewing his medical results but they never requested those!

Same thing happened to me and it was a old medical from 1 year and a half. Especially if your wife never left Canada after that medical. So just relax and wait for the next step

"But you can never be too sure about IRCC" 100% agreed!
ECAS is showing "Medical results have been received." myCic is showing "You passed the medical exam.". A few months ago we got a message on myCic only saying that medical were required, but it was a glitch. This time both systems are agreeing which is makes me feel confident.
If CIC use the same logic used for other visas then medical is not needed for people who have done it before and never left the country (have't lived in a designated country)
Tks Noslord2003! On which stage is your process now?
