Hi there, I made a same mistake too. I just got mg OWP returned not the whole package. you can resubmit your OWP, you will get a letter that tells you where to mail your owp application.
Hey just want to follow up on this. So I just received AOR and I'm currently on study permit until end of 2018 and I do have valid multiple-entry visa. I am planning to go back home in Feb. It should be ok right? Just a bit worried about leaving Canada while doing the inland process.
Yes, it is perfectly fine. I am on a valid study permit as well until 2019, and I left and re-entered recently after my app was already processing. It's not issue to leave as long as you are able to re-enter i.e have a valid TRV (visa) and a study permit. You should be good!
Submitted our spousal sponsorship application and it was received on Sep 5 2017, just got an email today that they are processing as of Oct 31, 2017! Very excited to hear this as we are anxiously awaiting good news. One question... we applied for an Open Work Permit for my husband and sent it in the same envelope as the PR application. His temporary residence visa expires on Dec 16, 2017... Anyone have an idea as to how long it may take to hear back about his work permit? If we don't hear anything soon, do we need to apply for an extension on his temporary visa, and if so how do we do this? Thank in advance!
I’ve seen someone in the WhatsApp group get AOR received September 7th and someone from this thread got AOR and applixatuonwas received on September 8th. Hopefully you get it tomorrow!
So I moved to Canada December 2015 from England and have lived here ever since. Someone told me a police check was needed for England and Canada whereas someone else has said you don't need one for Canada...
I've requested one from England and just wanted to check whether I needed one from Canada too before doing anything else.

I assume they are able to check records very easily in Canada...when you think if you were to ever run into trouble with the law, first thing the police will do is check your credentials and will quickly find out you are non resident, and will then bring in the CBSA and probably get you removed anyways...so they would know which is why they dont need check from the Canadian police.
Yes, if you login to ecas (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=) using the PA's UCI or information, it should say Application Received, and if you login to ecas with the Sponsor's UCI or app info, it should say In Process. It's normal.
If you look at a few pages back on the forum people have said that IRCC took the missing $155 from the PR fee (I guess it would only happen if you paid the whole PR fee not only a part of it). They have mentioned it also depends on the officer because some of them got their OWP application returned instead of having their funds transferred from the PR payment to OWP payment.
