The letter should specify how to proceed, but currently there is a pilot project in Montreal in which you just show up within working hours without any appointment; you just need to have that letter in hands (along with the documents listed on that letter).
Thank you! The letter only specified Montreal office but with no date or specifications on making an appointment, so I think it is the way you described.
Hi
I think you should try calling them. I received on August 17 as well and got landing letter the 20th of August to land on the 27th at Etobikoke. Give them a call.
Is anyone else that has travelled to multiple countries having extremely long delays with the security check? Feb 2017 applicant here, AIP on July 5 2018 and still waiting for a DM. According to the MP's office who is helping me, it's been in the final security checks since June (the MP's office was told this by CIC, none of my accounts have been updated since around April...)
I don't have a criminal record but I travelled through Europe twice for around 10 months each time and visited about 10 countries, just wondering if anyone else has had similar delays. Very frustrating to see December 2017 applicants getting DM when i'm 18 months in processing and CIC won't even respond to me any more...
Hey that’s fine PCC And Schedule A is not a BiG deal. Also they will contact you what they need from you! So don’t panic everything will come in place.

Most lawyers are good at a few things:
1- collecting money
2- lying
3- collecting more money
4- ...
It's not the first time I read that the lawyer forgot to inform his clients about the landing appointment. This can have serious consequences. This was written on our landing appointment letter: "Failure to appear for this interview may be interpreted as evidence that you are no longer seeking permanent residence in Canada and your file may be closed." Of course, IRCC knows that mistakes can happen and they will reschedule an appointment when you contact them soon after the missed appointment, but it really can have serious consequences.
Normal. They will likely not check your application until at least September 15. They gave you a deadline to send the documents, they often don't go back to your file until that deadline expires.
