Hi Emily yes once you upload it before June 8 then you are fine. I had lots of issues dealing with that back in March, 2 months ago so I mailed it to them and they had no issues receiving it. It was attached to my file right away.
And you are right they can take a very long time to respond in web form that's why I decided to mail it instead but you can do whatever you feel is best for you.
Within one week of them getting my Schedule A, my background check started.
Hi Liz. My background check started one week after they received my required documents. I sent it by mail.
If your status shows it has been uploaded then you should be fine. You just need to wait for them to have it started. It all depends for different ppl. Some ppl get started right away. Some don't. Also depends on how busy that person is, whoever is working on your file.

When you mailed yours you included your Schedule A and Police checks and the correspondence... what else did you put in it? Did you include some sort of cover page with you UCI and stuff on it?

I sen my police certificate with my very first completed package because i didnt want my certificate from my home country to expire while i still had it.
When I sent my schedule A, I did include a cover page stating my uci and application number and a brief letter stating that I was having issues uploading so i sent it my mail instead. Everything went smoothly.
no problem. Yup it all depends on timing, if you realize you wait too long without them responding, then you can always give me a call to make sure that everything is fine.

I was able to link my application yesterday. On my ecas, I see that they have sent me correspondence on May 26 asking for docs, but I don't see it on my account! So what to do now? Call IRCC n ask what docs have the requested? I'm unable to get through on the call! Is there any other way? Most probably they would have asked for Schedule A and PCC. Can I email them/ mail them the same instead of waiting to get thru on the phone? If yes, what email ID/ mailing address do I need to send it to?

My PCC did not have to be translated since I lived in an English speaking country before coming to Canada. They only requested the original for PCC,not certified copies. I am not 100 percent sure if you can send copies of that. I think it must be the original.
I am inland and my background check started one week after they received my schedule A in April. Mine is still in process. It is exactly one month since the check started.
I am still waiting for Sponsor approval as well. I am a March 2017 applicant.
I called cic and they told me the reason why background check is taking so long is because they are waiting for feedback from RCMP and CBSA. Once they receive that info, then it will be completed.
I also asked about the Sponsor approval part. They told me that there is no specific time for it to come. Some ppl get it early and some ppl can get it towards the end of the process.
