nope i didn't
Interesting. It was said earlier in this thread if you get the test invite before the background check, you will have to give fingerprints.

Does it mean if you background check is good - most likely your security clearance is fine? What’s the difference between security clearance and background check

so background is RCMP and prohibition is CSIS

Yes. I think one type of check is checking your Canadian records while the other is checking your over all background for crimes against humanity, etc globally, such as reaching out to the other countries you may have lived in, including where you are from.

This makes a bit more sense, I did live in the US for a couple of months MANY years ago. Interestingly, I've only been out of Canada for 2 weeks in the last 5 years. So does IRCC scan every country ever reported to them pre citizenship application? Or is it a blanket check?

I would think the checks are from after one became a PR to the present. I'm saying this because IRCC conducts the same extensive background check as part of the PR application process. So, they should already have those results in the system. But then they ask for any immigration status held in other countries too, so they will probably check with those countries as well.

Honestly, it would be logical to conduct a blanket check and then go deeper if there is a hit of any kind. But your guess is as good as mine with how IRCC works.

I just spoke with IRCC. They said my primary office is Vancouver. Secondary is CPC Sydney. Event office is Calgary (for oath/test). I applied out of Calgary.

We also checked my wife's separate application, and hers is the same. It's just odd that her background is complete and mine is not. I received the test invite and she has not. Her AOR is a bit behind mine, but I would have expected a pre-test GU by now.

Also, they told me my security is done, but criminality is in progress. She agreed I may get a FPR, but since my wife's is complete, she will not.

All in all, I don't know much more than I already knew, but it's very interesting that my application is apparently being processed in Vancouver, not Calgary, so I'm grouped with a lot of other people, I presume.

Is it easy to reach IRCC? Like how long do you need to stay on the line waiting?

They will call you back once you're in queue. You have to call early in the day or it'll say they're too busy to take the call. I think I waited about 30 minutes for the call back.
