My Background and Security have passed. Just waiting for LPP. I’ve seen some folks get an oath invite who applied in November so idk.

The background is RCMP and prohibitions is CSIS. So security clears once prohibitions is marked complete.

That's what I thought at first, but @greenelle wasn't asked for fingerprints and their application was also transferred. Someone else's file was also transferred to Vancouver without asking for fingerprints so idk.

Maybe they are moving things around as part of the announced workforce reduction? Or to even out workload? You never know, and I wouldn't read too much into it. I'd say the GTA IRCC offices have way more of a backlog than IRCC Vancouver would just from immigrant population.

Nope this is incorrect. Security is part of background check. My CBSA notes show security as passed. Prohibitions is the last step in the process which covers basically everything including security, background, LP, etc…

I requested GCMS notes yesterday, too. Hopefully they'll be moot in the 30 days it takes for them to process.

Requesting ATIP from CBSA might be more helpful. The information about security screening is redacted on the IRCC one but not on the CBSA. Hope this helps.

I'm not really worried what's on security or criminality; I have no criminal history. I'm just worried if they're doing it or not.

They said on the phone my security is passed, so I'm not concerned about CBSA or CSIS. I'm just waiting on RCMP criminality.

Perfect, security is the toughest out of everything so you should be good. Good luck!

Please look at the links under background and prohibitions on the tracker. They lead to the same page which list out various security and background items. The international items such as crime against humanity, international criminal records, etc would require extensive security screening and is most likely what CSIS would obtain.

What are you concerned about regarding the RCMP criminality check? Is it that they will ask for fingerprints and you'll have to travel back? Is that what you're trying to avoid?

I can’t avoid it and I’m not worried about the contents or result. I’m just worried my application is stuck somewhere since my wife’s application passed background and her AOR is November.

October 25 - AOR. Test and BG completed. BG got completed at the same time when I received my test invite. Test invite letter came from the Montreal office considering I live in Montreal.

I was able to talk to an Ircc agent on a call this morning. My processing office is now Vancouver and Sydney.

The agent told me my security is completed but Language and Physical presence hasn't started yet. Portal shows LPP in progress. Last update was on January 9th for test completed. I wonder why it is taking so long to complete the language and physical presence considering that Security is passed. Agent also said no additional information or request is needed on my end.

I hope they complete it soon.

I received my test invitation email from the Scarborough office. I have not received any fingerprint requests, and I guess I will not since BG is already passed. Is there anyway to know about potential office transfers without calling IRCC?

Honestly, I think it's just the backlog and case work officers have... I'm sure they want to clear older applications first.
