Hi i just wanted to know
After submitting SOWP application, did you receive any next action step to do ? Or directly received the approval?
cz i have heard in case of SOWP, after submitting the application you directly get the approval/ rejection?
My application is in submitted status from last 3 weeks
What to do ?

Exact same thing happened to me, I submitted on 5 Nov, received a physical mail on 30 Dec, mailed-out date on the letter was 3 Dec.
No further update since then.

I received a document via physical mail and I am not sure whether it is AOR or something different because it wont contain the primary applicant name and UCI number.

But it contain the following information

Application number:

Bar code:

Full Address:

Dear "Sponsor Full name"

This letter confirms that your application to sponsor a member of the family class has been received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada ( IRCC ) on "Date".

Next Step:
.....

Application submitted on 15th November
Physical mail Dated Dec 3rd but received yesterday due to Canada post issue

Can someone confirm whether it is an AOR or something different?

28 months processing time for spousal commonlaw inland sponsorship. I submitted my application on Feb 4th 2025 (yesterday) at noon. I used an immigration consultant and paid them $2300 cad for their support in gathering, filling and submitting documents. Guys this 28 months is stressing me. My PGWP expires in 20 months in Oct 2026 but I'm still worried.. any thoughts?

Guys are any cases actually taking 12 to 24 months or is that just for show? Most approvals I see are within 6-8 months!!

SA = Sponsor Approved. Sponsor received a letter stating You have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor.
AIP = Approval in Principal. PA received a letter stating You meet the eligibility requirements to apply for PR as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class.

it’s a ghost update, usually means someone opened your file

there is no way for us to find out what was it really about, just keep optimistic because they’re working on it

in some cases, you can expect some actual updates few days later
