I had ordered GCMC notes last month and found that the my spouse's outland PR application is under background check, which is "comprehensive", does everyone get this check or there are a few applications which goes for comprehensive check? Its been over two months now since the BG check has started and there is no news until now, the last update was PAL and then BG started as per the Notes. Please advise if this is normal.

It's been 5 months, 3 weeks since I submitted. The tracker says Eligibility in process since I submitted and background check in process since December 9th. Everything else is completed.

I submitted for my spouse in Oct ,we got AOR in starting of November, got he’s biometrics and police clearance done in November as well , now they wanted medical done in December , we just submitted the results yesterday.

It’s been 7 months and 1 week since I submitted.
My tracker says background check in process since Sept 2024 and Eligibility in process since Dec 6th. Everything else is completed. Just Ghost updates every month.

"comprehensive" security check is not normal, unfortunately
expect for a longer processing time
