I called yesterday just to poke around and they said nothing exciting other than that my sponsor was approved July 22? I mean I’ll take it but I didn’t receive anything. ‍
For some reason, sending/receiving the Sponsor Approval letter seems glitchier than the other steps in the process. For one thing, they usually don't send it until after the PA's eligibility is also approved, so you often see people getting it after they receive AIP (and AIP implies SA because you can't have an eligible spouse if you're not eligible as a PR or citizen in the first place). The other thing is it often "gets lost" when sent as an email or it gets inexplicably sent in the physical mail (even when the sponsor has received AOR by email so clearly IRCC has the correct email). IRCC is so weird and glitchy.

They're not working overnight... the SA and AIP letters are sent by the Batch Email Letter Application (BELA) which runs after hours.

Anyone updated address after the application was submitted? If yes, did you submit two webforms for the Sponsor and the PA?

We submitted a web form for the PA, but we couldn't find a way to submit a web form for the sponsor's change of address, so we ended up calling them and having them change it.
