I also received biometrics request today. Application - May 20, AOR - June 12, BIL - Aug 28
The request came via GCKey linked application. No updates on tracker whatsoever.
I even submitted the upfront medical exam form done for visitor extension. That is not updated in tracker yet but got updated in GCKey.
happy to hear there is some movement on us May month folks, even if it is just catch up of delayed applications. They've literally forgotten May applicants which is completely illogical. Hopefully we all start getting medical requests. We'll have to submit a fresh one for my case unlike yours, our only options are to either wait until IRCC asks us to submit or do an upfront which im unsure if it is even possible for a spousal application. Just worried that we are outside the country for a few weeks so the 30 day window shouldn't fall during that timeframe.

Tracker has not been working since mid-June, Right now cgkey is more reliable.

Is there any official news on that? How did you get to know that it is not working? I can login to the tracker, it's just that there are no updates. I am asking if there is any official page where they say that it's not working maybe they will also update when it gets fixed.

My husband and I sent a webform about it and they got back to us. "We are aware of the issue" and "the appropriate departments are working on it."

I haven't seen any official updates, but I received my PR card almost a month ago. However, the tracker still shows my application as 'in progress.' Additionally, the email listed on the information page is my old email from five years ago when I applied for a visitor visa, which I no longer use. I tried to send the web form about the incorrect email and got an automatic reply saying it was a technical issue and they are working to fix it now. These issues make it clear to me that something isn't working correctly.

Thanks for the detailed info.

Did you recently got your PR and now you are sponsoring your spouse for PR? Did you get married after applying for your own PR or after approval of your own PR? Just curious to know, so asking.

I recently got my PR. I am the principal applicant. My husband is Canadian. I got married back in June 2023 then applied for my own PR.

Just got an update from ircc that my spouse is eligible for pre-arrival services. Has not received request for medical, yet. Had already submitted biometrics early August. This is an inland spousal application by the way. What does this mean?

Ah! I thought you are one of the May Inland Spousal applicants.

Congrats on your PR! Have a wonderful and happy married life with your partner :)

I also got this letter today and I've only done biometrics so far. It says " We are currently processing your application for permanent residency. You now qualify to receive pre-arrival services to help you prepare for your new life in Canada. These services are only available to you before you enter Canada." Is this normal???

-> just noticed eligibility status changed to "We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements." and background check also changed to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check." from "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
