Hi everyone, I applied to sponsor my husband from Iran back in June. Our application is at the office in Rome. They requested a new medical because the previous one had expired, and we sent it at the beginning of December, I haven't heard anything since. Can anyone give me some info on how long I can expect to wait before we hear something more? Thanks!

Please ask you Husband to contact his local MP and meet with them. And ask this question ? I am sure they will have an update. And CIC will tell them more then what they ever tell us.

I got yeh the interview request like 2 weeks back, passed interview and got decision made...feel freeee to ask questions

I had an interview on 21st feb but its still in process.however,lady told me that my interview is approved.
Is there any chances to refuse after successfull interview?

MP stands for member of parliament, but since you are the sponsor and it seems you are in Canada I think they mean you may contact your MP. Google MP and your city name and it tells you who your MP is based on your postal code. Many women sponsors like you are in the Ankara category under family sponsorship in this forum. You may come there to see our discussions. Most of us contacted MP as well but Ankara said they cannot disclose anything to MP about security for the security reason. Although processing time for Iran is 8 months we have all been waiting since May and no news. This is while Iranian women who have husband as sponsor are getting PR within 3 months and applicant from Dec have already landed! I am surprised why your file is in Rome? When did you apply?

I know five women including myslef waiting from May/June for their husband's PR from Ankara visa office . Ankara has not accepted any husbands other than those who were citizens of Turkey!

Our VO is Vienna and they are slow.

I understand your frustration. Wives get PR in 3-4 months from Ankara. It is unfair that some have to wait a lot more. I sometimes think it is not fair to my husband that I keep working for Canada and paying tax while the VO keeps him waiting. His file is in security screening since Oct 24th!

I am! LimaVO seems to be quite slow! Here is our timeline (hasn't changed in so long ):

We received your application for permanent residence on June 22, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on October 20, 2016.
We started processing your application on September 1, 2016.
Medical results have been received.
