Depends which VO you're from. I'm Accra Ghana and we're still waiting but this is normal for us. Some VOs are just faster than others. Where is your app being processed?
Are you part of the accra visa office thread? Everyone on there has waited longer than I have. It's normal. Even someone who applied for gcms notes a few weeks ago who applied before me saw no movement in their file. 8.5 months is the fastest I've seen it on average. If it got to ten months I'd maybe contact them. But as of right now there are people on there who have been waiting more than a year. Welcome to the long haul. Don't expect to hear from them for several months.

Im posting my question here maybe someone can give me an answer.
For those of you who has COPR or landed already in canada, is missing info such as place of birth a big issue? My husband's copr in place of birth is empty but shows the country of birth.
1) Has anyone sent their passports to New York Consulate for PR stamping? How much time did they take for you?
2) Also, did anyone try applying for the PR travel document from New York? There is no information for processing time for that on the CIC website.
I have a couple of trips planned and everything seems to be stuck without the passport. And without a PR Card we can't take a flight to Canada after the landing process is done and we exit Canada.
No I don't think so, only certain countries like the US and Philippines have had a lot of completions, many other applicants from various other countries are still pending.
