That really sucks. Where are you applying from? I sponsored my husband in November of 2016 and his medical will expire in September and its not even under BCG. I'm so frustrated because I'm going back to Toronto with my kids and I'm so scared it might take the application longer than I expected.

I am speechless. Why ask for passport when they are not ready? And what type of security clearance could they be waiting for? All I can say is hang in there, hopefully it will be resolved soon.
We sent in our passports about 2 weeks ago and I was calculating a max time of 4 weeks, now I don't know what to expect as this immigration people can come up with crazy excuses for delays.
I am speechless. Why ask for passport when they are not ready? And what type of security clearance could they be waiting for? All I can say is hang in there, hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Hi! I am American and my Husband is Canadian here is out timeline as follows
1. We (IRCC) received your application for permanent residence on October 23, 2017.
2. We sent you medical instructions on December 8, 2017.
3. Medical results have been received.
4. We sent you correspondence on January 31, 2018.
5. We sent you correspondence on January 31, 2018.
6. We sent you correspondence on April 10, 2018.
7. We started processing your application on April 18, 2018. (*Nikole this is when your application for Permanent Residence was forwarded to the visa office in Los Angeles for further processing)
Is there anyone with any experience that could tell me if we are close? We already sent in FBI background and all information. Our Visa Office is Los Angeles.
