Hey everyone! I've been a silent follower of thread for a couple of months now, so I thought I should share. Just a bit of background my husband applied to sponsor me on March 2015. On January they emailed asking for renewed medical, for the right of permanent residence fee, police clearances (Venezuela) and the CSQ since we plan to live in Quebec. And now in March they emailed asking for the ARC, repayment of return expenses which we sent Sunday, May 22, 2016. We are dealing with the Mexico visa office. Based on what I've been reading the Mexico visa office usually takes a month to process ARCs so I'm hoping that's the case for my file and I get a passport request soon. I'll keep you guys posted. Good luck to everyone

Yea its really hard to tell. You will have to pay the ARC fees as well. Goodluck with your interview.
The thing is that my first ARC was refused in 4 days.
I appealed and won for reexamination.
Fees are not required, i just need to submit a new updated application.
If someone who had an experience at an interview regaring the ARC could shed some light on the type of questions please?
Whats the best answer for "compelling reason to grant you ARC?
So I finally got my ARC approved....yaaaayyyy...it was dated May 16th but I received the email today...

Thanks guys. It is such a relief especially not knowing how long it will take and all that....
My consultant got the email since the 20th but they didn't send it to me until yesterday...not sure why there was a 10 day delay...
Now all I am waiting on is my PPR...
I hope you guys get the approval you are waiting for as well...just keep your faith in god and keep praying...it has been a very difficult journey for me and I am happy I am one step closer to the end...
Hello.
Same here, my wife needs an ARC and i will kindly ask if you could share a copy of the format you used? Somehow i didnt know how to send you a private message.
I will really appreciate that.
Thank you

You can not send private messages unless you posted 10+ times. I don't have a format as I had a consultant who did everything for me. However, there are a few members here that can help you out with that.

As I am. Just sent it in on the 22 and I'm hoping they process it quickly, because otherwise I will go insane. Lol though I thought once they approved the ARC they requested the passport in the same email. But clearly that's not the case for some people. So even more days to count down
Hey Guys ,
do you still need an ARC if you left Canada 4 years ago ?
thank you

It doesn't matter how long ago you left. Once you are coming back into the country you will need ARC...
