Thank you very much. I received a letter too, in english, but the information not quite like you so maybe mine is not the AIP

"This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class. It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members have met these requirements. IMPORTANT: Passports for yourself and your family members must be valid for the duration of your stay in Canada."

Using the guide will help you with these questions. The answer is on that page. It will also provide definitions of terms.
Question 3

Enter the total number of family members included in your application. This includes yourself and any family members, regardless of whether they intend to accompany you to Canada or not.

For refugee claimants in Canada only: Enter the total number of family members included in your application for refugee protection who are with you in Canada.

I don't think they send an acknowledgment of receipt, I don't recall ever getting one. Processing times are 6 months (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html). I received mine after about 6 months. Basically you have to forget about this until in 6 months time. You are already a PR anyway, you don't need a new stress in your life

Hi Guys,

I sponsored my wife Inland. applied on Jan 24th 2019 without the application for owp as she came to canada in work permit after marriage and that was valid until dec 22, 2019. Received additional proof of cohab request in May and no updates after that.
But then we panicked and applied for OWP online on November 23 2019 as there were no updates on PR.

Today we called IRCC to confirm the OWP application and the category. But they said we should have sent it in mail and not online.
Only the PR applicants who have AIP should have applied online. We are confused as what to do right now.
Can you guys please help on this?

You should be ok to send it by mail, the sooner the better keeping in mind that you want it to reach the office within 90 days since the expiration of her permit. Or you can leave it and wait for landing interview but she won't be able to work in the mid term

You just need to prepare the documents that they ask you to bring in the letter. You don't have the Confirmation of Permanent Residence yet, they will issue it once you go to the office in Montreal. The COPR is not sent to inland applicants.
