On ECAS, we suddenly see a new point 2 saying that they started processing the PA's application on March 11th - strangely, points 2-5 now refer to things that happened before March 11th, which doesn't really make sense in terms of the order of items in the list.
It seems like quite a few VOs are known for not sending out AOR2s -- apparently it's practically standard for Vienna not to send one. This could be true of Cairo as well (I believe your app really was sent to Cairo, not Mississauga, right?). That's why a lot of people just use the "line 2" date in eCAS instead.
So! As predicted, we have been forwarded to Vienna VO. What I find most telling is that I got the transfer email less than three hours after my husband finished his medical appointment (earlier today, eMedical). I know that some are forwarded before medicals, but I find this to be way too big of a coincidence not to be connected.
Now I can only cross my fingers Vienna finds the application from another German-speaking country simple to process... (literally as I type this I'm receiving WhatsApp messages from the Vienna group about how slow it is! ).
Congrats ! Ours was forward to Vienna as well just yesterday. Not sure about your theory though. They requested medicals for us feb 23, did tests on 28, they recieved results on the March 5, status changed to passed on March 8 and then recieved letter March 11 that they have been sent to Vienna.
However, we never got asked to do biometrics just to make the payment so not sure if its normal to ship it out to VO before doing the actual biometrics.

Oh, that's interesting! Maybe the medical seriously was just a coincidence then! I wish there were more Vienna people around to compare with....
Biometrics we paid for up front, so that probably explains why our request came through so quickly. From what I've observed, paying the biometric fee later seems to significantly delay the actual request. But I wouldn't worry too much about the biometrics not being done yet -- apart from the pain of possibly having to travel to get them done somewhere, they are super easy to provide (appear on GCKey same day they are completed).

Yeah not stressing to much about it but had i known i would have gotten them out the way from the very beginning but i was under the impression that we didnt have to do biometrics at least thats what the website said for our case. However the request for payment showed that its a requirement after July of 2018. None the less good luck to you and hope to compare our process to yours

Yep. You'll even see people refer to "line 2" as how they determined their AOR2 in the absence of a letter. Having not experienced it myself, I didn't know about it putting things out of order, but it makes sense!
No, that is not AOR2. I have that one a few days(Mar 4) after Sydney sent my application to HKVO (Feb. 28). AOR2 should be sent from VO directly and after that BGC starts. In my case, everything is the same as on Feb. 28.
Couple of applicants from Novmeber who had their files transferred to CPC-M on feb 14, received DM or PPR on March 08. Around the 100 day mark. Not sure how accurate the timelines are but I wouldn’t mind receiving PPR in 100 days.
Who knows we could get DM or PPR by end of this month or 1st week of April.
I have a feeling they will be rolled out on a Friday.
