Hi everyone,

Planning to apply for citizenship tomorrow. However I am stuck at filling out the application form in the eligibility requirement part Q9. Below are my details:
Landed as PR: Jan 06. 2015
Total days spent in Canada as per physical presence calculator: 1121

However the problem is, the system is considering my eligibility from 7 Nov 2013 - 7 Nov 2018 instead of 6 Jan 2015-7 Nov 2018. Did anyone experience this problem? If yes, How did you solve it and what did you answer in Q9 and Q10 of the application form?

I am really really confused and frustrated. PLEASE HELP

I will strongly suggest taking legal advice from an immigration lawyer. We can provide insight into things that have happened to us or someone we know but in your case, the matter is very serious. Go speak to a lawyer, if you need recommendations for good lawyers you can request here and people might be able to point you in the right direction.

I found that rejection letter today, which said
-refusal of work permit
-we also wish to advise you that your temporary resident status expires Feb 06, 2016 (letter was printed same day)
-you may apply for restoration if, within 90 days from the expiry of your temporary resident status

-should you choose not to apply for restoration of your status, you will remain a person without legal temporary status and as such will be required to leave Canada immediately

I was working on implied status, when i received this letter i stopped working and in few days i applied for restoration for work permit which i got in April 2016
My Express entry application was already in process which i submitted in Jan 2016 when i was on implied status and i got PR in June 2018

I feel like this shouldn't be a problem but still i am little scared to apply for citizenship

Please give me suggestions if any body have any thoughts

As per Physical Presence Calculator:

"
When calculating your time in Canada:

• only the five (5) years immediately before the date of your application are taken into account;
• each day you were physically present in Canada as an authorized temporary resident or protected person before you became a permanent resident counts as half a day (up to a maximum of 365 days);
• each day you were physically present in Canada after you became a permanent resident counts as one day;
• time spent serving a sentence for an offence in Canada (e.g. serving a term of imprisonment, probation and/or parole) cannot be counted towards your physical presence - there are some exceptions."

As you can see, you can also count time you were physically present in Canada BEFORE you became PR.

Don't worry about the 5 years, Since you landed in 2015 that will be counted. you have to complete 1095 days in last 5 years.
I was a student then worker before becoming a permanent resident so my days before 2016 are also counted.
Just fill in information that applies to you.
