The second fingerprint request was sent after I wrote to the MP office. I have given the fingerprints again and my background status was updated again on Oct 27 as Completed. I have the background and test completed now.

So what can we do now?

If anyone has or had the background check in progress due to delay in Criminality section and Security Passed, and no fingerprint requested, please share your experience.

Ok. Everything except "Citizenship ceremony" was updated to COMPLETED last week. Here is to hoping that this gets done quickly. It has been a long long time.

Almost 3 years?! Yours is supposed to be faster than mine.

I spoke too soon. So I have received the oath ceremony request for next week. However, they have converted language, prohibitions and residency requirement back to “in progress”.

Anyway, checked ECAS. It says decision made. So I am hoping it’s just a system issue that those items are appearing in progress

My wife hasn’t received the email despite the fact we applied together. Her ECAS says decision made.

Go to a lawyer and ask for mandamus. After all that time you should do that.
