Hello Everyone!
New member here.
We got our AOR in April.
Today we got that he passed the medical! Yaaay.
He was out of status at the time of the application but we still applied for the OWP. We haven't received any word on it
.
We submitted Schedule A at the time of the application, and on our online IRCC account (is ECAS still thing?, should I get an ECAS profile?) it says "Background check not applicable", what does that mean really?
What do you think the next communication from them will be and how long before they do?
Hie, we are in same situation too. We applied in july and received our Aor in august. We applied owp with the pr application and my husband was in the same situation like yours. We haven’t received anything after that. Just waiting for owp and as i have checked other forums too and people with similar situations , work permit will be issued after AIP or sponser approval. Hope it helps a little.

Concerned that we have not received confirmation of application and my visitor visa is expiring in November.
Inland Family (Spousal) Sponsorship. I am applicant, from USA and wife is Canadian sponsor.
Application received in Mississauga 23/08/2018 - status online says “processing.”
I have applied for an extension of visitor visa, but that is also back logged. I must return to the US in mid-November for medical appointments in Florida.
Questions: Should we have received a confirmation by now?
If my visitor visa extension is not processed in time, is it advised that I return to US?
If I return to US what do I tell the Canadian Immigration officials when I try to re enter Canada?

Hello I am Feb 14, 2018 applicant. I also have same situation as you guys. Medical was sent and received last month. It says results has been received but no updates after that.
Hello, any updates about your medical? Mine still the same " MEDICAL HAVE BEEN RECEIVED".

Thanks KB! It does help! Praying the success of everyone's application!
Hello everyone , any updates for inland January folks???? Looking at Dec applicants, it seems like most of the applications are getting landing letter requests in about 10 months mark .
Any early lucky ones for January who received SA, AIP or even DM ???

Hello, regarding your first question:
1) Should we have received a confirmation by now? Based on your application date, it would be expected that you should have already received an AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt), or will be getting one very soon. However, please note that some PR applicants didn't get an actual AOR via email (some March 2018 applicants posted this - - CIC technical gliche perhaps) but application processing/steps can still be proceed forward, such as OWP, medical exam request by CIC, etc. without a formal AOR actually received. Someone posted that they were able to link their PR paper application online by using their UCI number that they had previously obtained, since they had previously submitted a visitor extension application online and obtained their UCI number.
You have options based on previous postings such as: 1) waiting a few more weeks to see if you get an AOR via email; 2) contact CIC via phone or Web Form for an AOR update; or 3) try to see if you can create an online account and link your PR paper application by using your UCI number.
Regarding your second and third questions (below), perhaps senior members can help with providing insight/input:
2) If my visitor visa extension is not processed in time, is it advised that I return to US?
3) If I return to US what do I tell the Canadian Immigration officials when I try to re enter Canada?
I'm helping my husband with his inland application, that includes things like filling out the forms, phoning CIC for inquires and what not, as his English is limited. Should I be his representative or is it better for me to be his representative down the road (i.e. communicate with CIC on his behalf)? Or this is common for other applicants as well?
In addition to the PR application, we are also applying for an OWP. I noticed on the checklist it did not ask for the applicant's current status in Canada, only ask for basically the front page of the passport. Am I missing something here?
