If its all okay... they send it next day thats what they did for my husband but apparently it was sent to them directly which I am more worried about now because of canada post going on strike tomorrow
Updates! Today my sponsor got a Sponsorship Approval letter and I got a letter saying that "you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for..."! I guess that's what people are saying AIP? So excited! It's been exactly one week after I submitted my fingerprints to the CIC system.
I'm wondering how long it will take to get the landing interview scheduled because I'm travelling with my partner in October. Will I be able to set up the date with them depending on my availability or they will just send a date and time? What if we're not available then? Thanks so much for everyone's help!
Btw, my application was received on November 14, 2017.

On no That's not good. I would try to phone RCMP again and hopefully speak to another agent. I assume you had to pay for the fingerprints? I don't think the agent you spoke to realizes how exhausting this process is and how much depends on it. I would try to explain how important it is for you to receive your criminal record check timely. I hope they show some sympathy for your situation.
How about this from RCMP website:- "Accredited fingerprint companies are authorized to submit fingerprints to the RCMP's Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) for searches of the National Repository of Criminal Records. The results of these certified criminal record checks do not include information from other national or local data bases.
In addition to taking fingerprints electronically, several of these companies accept fingerprints that have been taken on paper, convert them to electronic transactions, and submit them directly to CCRTIS for processing. This service is also available to individuals whose fingerprints were taken outside of Canada. Accredited fingerprint companies are not authorized to conduct vulnerable sector checks but are allowed to fingerprint applicants who are referred to them by the police of local jurisdiction.
Accredited fingerprint companies readily advertise their services over the Internet and can provide a copy of their RCMP Letter of Accreditation".
Well they replied to my email and mentioned the results were sent the next day already via mail and they cannotdo anything about it and they dont email because they dont trust the email bring genuine. I am hoping they receive it by today because canada post is going on strike starting tomorrow

Yes, this is AIP.
regarding landing: you first need to get a decision made. Check ECAS https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do
Log in as the sponsor. You should already see decision made on the sponsor side and either "in process" or decision made on the principal applicant side. When you will see decision made on the PA side, you will know you are just waiting for a landing invitation.
They will set a date and time for you (except if you are in Quebec province, which currently as a pilot program for landing). If you cannot attend the appointment they schedule for you, you can ask for a reschedule.
Note that if you land before your travel... you will need a PRTD (permanent resident travel document).

Thank you so much for the reply! I checked my sponsor's ECAS, it hasn't changed to "Decision Made" yet. So I will just wait for that. I will update here once it changes.
Great to know that I could ask for a reschedule, just in case. I have a travel visa with my open work permit so I should be fine with the travelling? Do you mean if I got a DM, I will need to apply for some other documents to be back to Canada?

Once you are officially landed, all Canadian visa and permit (work, study) become void. So if you just have your DM and haven't landed yet, no problems, your work permit and visa will be valid. But if you land before you travel, then you no longer have visa and work permit and you need your PR card to travel, but it takes about 2 months to come. If you need to travel during that time, you can apply for a PRTD (PR travel document). But you have to apply abroad and it takes few weeks to get it.

Finally got my landing letter from the Montreal office! One day before the 12 month mark.
Application received: September 26, 2017
AOR: November 27, 2017
AIP: August 29, 2018
DM on both sides on ECAS: August 30, 2018
Landing appointment letter: September 25, 2018
Also, how long does the landing interview take at the Montreal office? My letter gives the opening hours 7:30-4:30. If I go at 7:30 AM, will I have to wait a long time or is it very quick (my partner has to be at work around 8:30 so ideally we would go at 7:30)?
