Normally not an issue neither, there is good collaboration between Canada and Mexico. Certainly not as good as between the member of the five eyes, but still very good collaboration.

It looks like we aren't going to be landed within the time frame as there are 13 days left for this to happen, and there is still nothing on or account. What are the next steps ? We have a lawyer so I will contact them but when should I contact my MP? Now or after it's exactly 12 months ?

MP cannot do anything when you are still under the normal timeline, so you definitely should wait until you reach the 12 months mark. You could order your GCMS notes now, but it will take a month to receive them. You can try to call and ask about an update on the status of your application, whether anything is missing or not.

Have you tried to contact them? There was someone in the same situation and when he called, his landing was scheduled but he didnt know and was waiting for over a month.

When I got Eligibility Passed/AIP, my account online changed to "We are reviewing the additional documents you provided." Anyone else have this happen? Guessing it's just a bug, since that seems to be the case with that line often.

They sent an email saying I had a message in my account, and there was a message there labeled "Eligibility passed" with the PDF (same thing as Approval in Principle/AIP)

Even if you did not get the sponsor approval (SA) letter yet, the sponsor must be approved for the PA to receive AIP.

Hello.
AIP can take months, there's no timeframe for anything. As far as I've seen, AIP sometimes hasn't even showned at all and you only get DM. Expect months of silence and I'd advice you to check ECAS to have some idea of what's happening. Always remember there's a 12 month mark.

I am surprised he suggested to wait until AIP to apply for a work permit. Is he out of status by any chance?

I mean as much as I’ve seen (any my case too), you get DM and AIP at the same time, I.e. after 10-11 months after you apply. And then I don’t really see a point applying for work permit, as it takes 3-4 months for it to be approved plus a couple weeks till you receive it in mail. And to apply for work permit, you don’t need AIP, you can just apply online, since you received AOR. IMHO..

Yup, mine still says “reviewing eligibility and documents you’ve provided”..

Avec plaisir! I wish you to get the landing invitation soon! We feel so relieved when it's officially done. We all tend to over stress with the is long process, but we should not! It's only a matter of time!

The only explanation would be if, as @david_gat88 suggested, the PA was out of status for more than 90 days. If that's not the case, that "liar" should be fired...
People that are out of status for more than 90 days cannot apply for the OWP until AIP and as you said, AIP comes at the end of the process, so there is almost no use to apply for it. If someone is out of status for less than 90 days, that person can apply to restore the status and will not have to wait for AIP to get the OWP approved.

And if the PA still had status when they applied and the (so-called) lawyer suggested to wait for AIP to apply for the OWP.... then he is a .... moron!

Probably just a bug. At this point, ECAS will give you more up to date information.

Congrats, you got DM. Your CIC account won't show any update until you land. But now you are waiting for a DM letter (which is very unreliable... sometimes sent fast, sometimes sent with weeks delay, sometimes not sent at all...) and a landing invitation letter. I don't know how fast/slow Vancouver office deals with landing, but it used to happen 4-6 weeks after DM. If some people landed recently in Vancouver, they could comment on that with more precision than me.

So I checked ECAS again, DM is on both sides. However, on my (PA) side, it shows a new line "We started processing PA's application on August 27, 2018". Is this normal? Why would it start processing 2 days ago when it's DM.

Don't worry about the lines, DM on both sides means it's done. You're waiting for your landing invitation letter.
