Hi guys,
March 02 2017 application received. I got an email today from cic to check my account. I got eligibility passed but no aip letter. MY cic account change to we are reviewing your eligibility. But ecas still say application received. Hope to hear good news soon.
Since a lot of the November apps are getting their medicals this month, I'm assuming the December apps (including me) would get the medicals in June. According to the timeline spreadsheet (in my signature), most got their medicals at around 6-7 months mark from the date of app received.
As to checking MyCIC and ECAS every so often, I've learned not to bother checking so much because there's a lot of waiting for pretty much the whole process. I only check MyCIC & ECAS when I know it's close to that time like the medical requests for Dec apps should be around June (usually 6-7 months mark), then check again later at around 11 months mark for AIP/SA/DM, etc. In between while waiting, I just go about my life. Less stress that way. As to the background check you guys are commenting about, it stays that way for pretty much the whole time until either DM or landing. I used to read the forums so much almost daily when I first joined and learned a lot of stuff that I needed to know. Now that I comprehend as to how the process goes, I read the forums about once a week to help others or pick up a new info. Just my two cents. Have a good long Victoria Day weekend, y'all! Try to relax and have some drinks in front of bonfire and watch the fireworks.
