WHAT?? This can't be true!!? I heard you only have to wait until AIP if you are out of status. This agent is not telling you true facts, at least I'm praying they aren't true!!
issue with our application is, the principal applicant does not have a valid visa and will need to apply for one. this might raise a red flag to the visa office.
The agent I spoke to said that the online OWP application process could only be used after the AIP. However, if you are in status, you could mail the paper OWP application to Vegreville.

Is this for paper or online applications? There have been people on this forum who resubmitted OWP apps due to insufficient fees and they have already received approval, within the 4 month time frame after it was received the second time...

Strange that 3 different agents told you that info, as it can't be 100% true if others have received approval within 4 months after re-submitting... Either way, time will tell I guess!

Maybe they got AIP, or more likely the agents don't know what they're talking about haha
Anyways my 4 months will be in a couple weeks so they still have time
We did. My wife is chinese and China didn't start issuing birth certificates (national) until 1996 but our original application was returned because of lack of birth certificate even though their own documents and country file states that there are no official certificates before 1996. we resubmitted the same package with a letter stating why we didn't include a birth certificate. IMO I think it was originally rejected because the agent was trying to clear their desk as quickly as possible and that seemed like an easy excuse.
Bear in mind that beginning in 2017 the government promised to process applications within 12 months. From what I understand, they didn't hire additional case workers, and they are the same people that used to take 18-24 months to do the same job that they now have to do in 12 months. I don't believe that they are working any faster or more efficiently but are clearing files off their desk by rejecting as many applications as they can. My advise is to make your application as complete as possible and if there are any gaps, include a letter explaining why.
Hi all, I am wondering what can happen if I missed the deadline to submit the police certificate?
It is requested that I should submit it by Jan 1st,2018, but I was outside country in December 2017, so I only managed to submit it on Jan 9th,2018. And they confirmed it on Jan 22nd. Although I did submit a letter of explanation before this deadline, will this cause my application to be delayed?
Thank you very much for your help.
Application timeline(inland-sponsorship):
App received: Sep 9th,2017
AOR: Nov 28,2017
Schedule A and PCC requested: Nov 28,2017
Did you submit your Police certificates & schedule A forms with the application? Have you linked your application online? Because I think every one needs to submit the schedule A form
