I am also waiting for a PPR, I did medical on Aug 22nd, 2013.
Since then ECAS was updated to medicals recieved, sometime in the final week of august,
and last week, probably around Sept 6th it changed to 'Decision Made', but no PPR yet.
I hope it is on it's way.
Good luck to all who are waiting.

Thanks InforSeeker, hopefully. At this point I waited so long already, that I can wait.
besides my passport is in Ottawa anyway, since I applied for a temporary visa for travel purposes. I was not expecting that I might be getting a PPR soon.
Hopefully by the time my passport is back from Ottawa, I'll have the PPR.
again, good luck to everyone!

Hi sherych, yup you should be getting ppr email this week, hopefully.
Hi everyone,
Today we received an email from CIC asking for Police clearance for my husband and RCMP for me. I am scared why they are asking for it. And May I know how to get this RCMP ?? And how long it takes whole process is getting complicated. In the beginning we only sent My PCC as My husband applied at that time and they said it will take some time. Further my husbands PCC is issued on june 4 is it okay to send it or we should ask for new one? I read somewhere PCC's are valid only for 3 months. Please help if anybody has answers

Please, do NOT be anxious about this particular CIC request. Police Certificates are standard practice. I lived the US for 6 years prior to my PR application (I moved to BC in 2009); CIC requested a FBI Clearance, however, they did not request a Police/RCMP clearance in my particular case. Some CIC officers request this piece of information, and, some simply do not.
Notwithstanding the above, I am curious about the reason for calling it "Police Clearance" and then using "RCMP" for only you. Is your husband from another country? Have you lived in Canada your entire life? If so, do you have any criminality on your record?
Also, I spoke to a few fellow applicants during my PR Application Process and each told me that obtaining an RCMP Clearance is extremely simple. You can obtain one at any RCMP Station and it usually takes less than an hour. I would call the RCMP Station ahead of time in order to make sure that you bring all necessary paperwork.
