That's pretty weird. I don't think they have misplaced your file. I'm indeed clueless as to why they are not working on your file. It's bizarre. What about the 48 hours review thing? Do you any notes after that?
Hello everyone, i am happy to find this thread to see so many pioneers regarding PNP application.
I just have a simple question regarding it and really hope i could get some pro ideas on it.
I am under BC PNP-International Post-Graduate Student stream. After nominated by BC I received the PNP certificate.
Now i am wondering, after i apply my PR to the Sydney office in NS, can I return to my home country (China) to work till the PR is granted (considering everything else is smoothly done)? And then when CIC asked me to send the passport I can send it to them to get the PR visa and come to Canada.
Does this plan work? i will be landing in Canada as a PR by then, so should be no risk of denial my entry, correct?
Anyone who can share their knowledge on this is greatly appreciated!

You have to stay in your province of nomination until you get your PR. If you leave, you'll fail the eligibility test. CIC at one point or the other may request that you provide employment letter and update history.

I have to correct something. (I am talking for Ontario PNP)
If you are applying under international stream. You do not have to stay in Canada. Cause, your eligiblty is passed by PNP certificate. And as long as you apply as sole student you don't need to stay in Canada. Only thing is, that they may ask for funds to confirm if you have enough funds still as you have been asked by BC PNP.
If you can still show enough funds. You won't have any problems at all.
I have couple friends that they have followed this.
But am talking about Ontario again, if it is different for BC I don't know.

Thank you Holygun, really appreciate it. Your answer has been insightful.
ok in this case should I submit the PR application in Canada before i leave or should i submit it in my home country (China)? And I imagine I should identify my visa office to be the office in my home country not Ottawa to make everything easier right?
Thanks again for your kind advice! Wish you the best too!
