Passports to CPC Ottawa January 2018

did anyone got the return tracker activated

Application approved on 23rd Jan
Return tracker still not activated yet. Not sure why is it taking long, I have seen people with tracker activated on same date on which application got approved

HI all,

I am currently in US. so far i know is after getting PPR we have to send passport to Ottawa. i wonder if i can send passport to local Visa Application Center(VAC) instead of that. if yes, than do i need to request cic for that? or i can simply walk in to VAC and give them?

I called the call centre today and been told that they have printed COPR's for the passports received to Ottawa on jan 12th, and most likely they will get delivered by feb 9th.

My CIC approved: Jan 24, 2018
Tracker Activated: Jan 25, 2018
Alberta resident. Hopefully I will received my passport latest Monday.

Once after receiving the passport request you can send an email requesting them that you would like to submit your passport to local vac. They send a new passport request email to submit to vac.

I didn’t do it myself but have seen people posting the same.

I'm Jan 12 delivered one and just confirmed myCIC status changed to the approved.

Wow! Really. I didn't know that was a thing. Wats the point though? You still need to ship it via courier.
