Hi All, I am sharing the details for my mom's super visa and I am slightly confused. The portal shows details about:
Date received: February 17, 2024 Date of biometrics: updated (used from previous application)
however, I do not see any other details on the portal than above. It doesn't talk about eligibility, background checks, or even medicals. Do I need to reach out to them if so can please someone suggest how?

Just checked for my mothers application and it shows that Medical, Biometrics and Eligibility is completed only BG is in progress. Hope its done soon too. Applied on Feb 16
Quick update: Eligibility changed to ‘in progress’ today. BG was already in progress. Biometrics completed and Medical not started (I did not do upfront medical).

Any idea how much time it takes for background check ? Does visa number gets updated in the tracker once the PPR is issued. Does status of background check change to completed in the tracker?
FYI, my mum went to VFS Jalandhar to submit her passport for visa stamping and they asked her to pay Rs. 4100 to get her passport back even after she told them that she will pick it up in person herself. She called me when they told her to step aside or pay up and I told her to say that I also work at VFS and that this is illegal. They won't explain why the charges and kept telling her that if she doesn't pay she won't get her passport back for about a month and this was somehow gunna expedite the stamping. Anyways, she lied that I work at the VFS and they only charged Rs 800 something for the tracking only. Such a loot man. Ridiculous. Just be careful when you guys go for visa stamping.
