for applying Canada parents supervisa, regarding letter of invitaion declaration of support, do we need to get notarized from a notary agent or lawyer or no need for that , only self signed will be sufficient ? please guide us.
guys, quick question,I took my mother in law to USA and cameback to canada through rainbow bridge (ontario) so she could enter with the supervisa. I explained to thE IRCC officer our intentions, and he was ok with everything, and said that she could stay 5 years from now on. The thing is that he did not stamp the passport. Ircc portal says that if there is no stamp, the time already started from the moment she entered.
the thing is this, we are planning to go to USA next year and comeback to canada, how will we explain this to IRCC when she comesback? Is it recorded in their system? Should I go again to usa and comeback and request a visa stamp now? She also has a visitor visa, and entered in july this year, I would not like her to have a problem about it.
please, advise. Thank you.
Pasting what the website says: If parents and grandparents who possess the temporary resident super visa or letter of introduction have a stamp in their passport with no handwritten date, or if they have no stamp, then the period of authorized stay is 5 years from the date of entry.
Here is the timeline of my wife and two children (they had already had a Canadian visa in the past)

I submitted my application for parents Super Visa since July and they did biometrics a few days after submission. However, there has been no update from IRCC since then. Is anyone in the same situation?
Does anyone know how long it takes for security to complete for Supervisa applicants? I guess I am looking for average number to maximum. An another question would be that my father's security is holding the application decision. The rest of the steps have been completed. This is what I found out through MP. My representative is suggesting that he is going to try to get the application approved for my mother individually. Has anyone else done this or have any experience regarding this?
I have one quick question regarding supervisa application. I have applied for my parents a supervisa who is green card holder in USA, so strangly when I apply for application, it reach the fee section, and then application just submitted, it doesn't ask for fee payment stragely so not sure what went wrong. can someone experience this issue?
No totally fed up now. raised more than 5 web forms but no response. Called IRCC they advise to wait.. application getting delay due to high volume of applications.

1) Did you guys do an upfront Medical Exam?
2) When applying, what date did you put as date of entry in the application? I am asking because the date of entry I put was December 22, and it's already December 05 and we haven't received PPR yet. Will it affect the application in anyway if the Date of entry passes and there's no decision on application yet?
I am starting this thread for folks to track super visa application submissions made in April 2024. Here's the status of my mom's application:
Application submitted: 09 April, 2024 BL: 12 April, 2024 (Updated from Previous rejected visitor visa 2023) Medical passed: Not yet (Planning for upfront, will update here) Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. PPR: Not yet
Did you guys get PPR? If yes, when did you get it?
My father's timeline looks like this -
Application submitted: 19 September, 2024 Biometric: Updated from Previous rejected visitor visa 2023 Medical passed: Gave upfront but in the application it still shows - "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes" Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. PPR: Not yet
