Hi, I see multiple people reporting delay in Super visa for application filed in April. I also went through the same. I kept raising the webform and kept calling. Finally one day, an individual on phone checked that this should have moved further and told that they will make a note on the application and we received the PPR request next week.
what is the contact number, and should I be representative for my parents application if they have applied ? If not what I can do for that, any guidance means a lot.
How much time will one get to leave for Canada after getting Super Visa? Is it that one can arrive in Canada until the validity of medical exam which is one year?
Applied - June 6, 2024
Biometrics updated from previous visitor visa - June 24
Got Biometrics collection letter on July 3 because previous biometrics were expiring in 4 years.
Medical update - sep 3
BVL - sep 13
PPR - Sep 18
Hello Fellows,
I would appreciate your advice on my mother's visa.
I am a Canadian citizen, and my spouse is a PR. I am a PhD student and not working.
My PhD is funded by the National Research Council (NRC) of Canada.
Total Scholarship from both NRC and University is about 70K a year.
I have been accepted to MIT (USA) as a visiting PhD student for 5 months and my trip is sponsoring by NRC.
Now, when I am traveling my spouse will stay here alone and I cannot take her with me because Boston is pretty expensive and I will also be paying rent for my condo here in Canada, which is 2K a month.
I decided to bring my mom so she could stay with her for the time I am away.
I am not sure which Visa should i apply for, a Super visa, or a Visit visa for my MOM.
The Super visa requires a certain income but I am not working and studying full-time. I am getting more than the required income but not sure if they will consider it.
Please enlighten me on which visa should i go for and which one has more chances to get. I will be showing my fund in a Canadian bank (Over 100K) to pay for my mom's trip.
