Medical has changed to passed today. BG check has been in progress for a few weeks now.
Did you guys have a passed medical before BG check went into process or after? It seems slightly random and I don't understand why.

My husband's medical has been listed as passed pretty much since they got our application, and his background check still says it hasn't started (even though we know that it has). I don't think there is any real rhyme nor reason for when and why they update those things, outside of the final stages.
Still waiting since November for this to change? It says I opened it in Feb however that's when I went into my cic. I sent these documents off the next day I got the email express post (November 17 received)

Ive been waiting for the additional document request to change even though they've had the document from me for a month. It seems that they just don't really bother updating it.
So my wife's PPR just came through today from Manila VO.
I have a few questions though.
1 - My wife is South Korean so she is from a visa exempt country. She does however require the new Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Does she need to submit her passport for the PPR or not? Submitting the original is only required is you ARE from a country that requires a visa to enter Canada, not simply an eTA. Is my logic correct here?
2 - In the email, it states to submit one copy of this letter. Would that mean printing out the entire email that they sent as there was no attached file or letter in the email?
Hey everyone! I have great news, we have some movement on our October application!
This morning (our wedding anniversary in fact) I received an email from CIC..... asking for us to pay the RPRF! So, even though ECAS and my CIC account do not show any changes (no background check in progress, etc), I am hopeful that this means I'm in?!
Can anyone confirm getting this email notice before anything changes with their account online?
ALSO --- I have actually paid the RPRF. I paid it on Feb 3rd of last month, and got an email (literally) Tuesday from IRCC confirming they accepted the receipt of my payment. They said in the email, "We have forwarded it to the responsible office for their consideration".
Happy Anniversary! I had a request to pay RPRF at the end of Jan and 7 days later my Background check went into progress, and just a few days ago medical went to passed.

Thank you! And thanks again for the helpful reply. My medical has shown passed since right after we sent in the App.... this is the first we have heard anything since early Nov.
Seems like they're processing things all over the place, but if it works, I'm happy!
It's my understanding that people who get rejected usually have a lot of notice ahead of time. So if you haven't heard otherwise, you're probably good!
