Does everyone get fingerprint request or is it random? For the Jan and Feb tracker, it seems like almost 50% applications receive fingerprint requests. Any idea what's the criteria?

TLDR :
Since you have your BG check completed, you will most likely not be asked for fingerprints so you are good!

Long story:
As part of the background check, there is a criminality check done by IRCC via RCMP database. When they find a partial match in the database w.r.t name, DOB etc and cannot confirm the identity, it is flagged. They request for fingerprints to make sure you are not the person flagged and are clear of any criminality. It is like the PCC for Canada and only required when they are unable to verify and clear online and about 20% people get the request. We can do that only when requested and not upfront.

Hi, Status updated. The citizenship test was updated to In Process on June 28. The test window is from July 4 to Augest 3. But no email received.
Can I do the test on any day from July 4 to Augest 3?
