i don't think "they weren't happy as it hadn't been done at Service Canada", there is a link to check if you need to provide biometric
you just presumed it's not required and created unneccessary delays to your application :)
Find out if you need to give biometrics

When to give your biometrics
You will need to pay for and then give your biometrics, even if you gave biometrics in the past to support a visitor visa, study or work permit application, or a different permanent resident application.

You are wrong about this....I DID have biometrics done! I did them prior to filling out my application, as I knew biometrics were needed, I DID NOT know that they would have to be done at a certain place, as I had not gotten that far with the process.

Don't bash on something you know nothing about. If I would have said I didn't know I had to have them done, then your little rant would be justified, but I did know prior to filling out my application and thought having them done prior would help. But again I did not know they would have to be done through Service Canada.

So your little rant is not justified, please move along.

Did background check completed on tracker? If not that’s what normally hold up the processing . Paying biometrics fee normally don’t mean your going to get P1, as a matter or fact paying any fee.. you could pay all of that from the beginning, what really hold the processing so long is background check.. that can be a good 3 months of waiting. Trust me it’s stressful but hang on you will get to the end .

Yes everything was completed. FD on GCKey on the 25th of Oct and COPR details on tracker on the 28th of October. Read up a ways to see my previous posts. It was after the fact that they sent message asking for the bio fees due to previous stated situation.

my bad, how did you provide the biometric upfront though? when there is nothing to link it with? i can understand for medical but biometric??
i still don't think "they're not happy with it's not done with Service Canada", you should have waited for the instruction
anyway, congratulations for your application :)

Oh ok, your on the way to the end then.. yaayy

Any applications from March mid started getting updates? Let's keep posting here so we can know.

!!UPDATE!!

Request Letter

Interestingly they did not receive my biometrics fee, even though it was done at service Canada and submitted, that was what was holding up my application. They took the $85 from the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) of $575, hence generation of p1 was blocked/stalled, so I had to pay the $85 offset, hope all is well, if anyone going though similar situation please update [ Application received : March 13, 2024]

I am trying to understand. So how much are we suppose to pay in total?

why $1080? do you have any dependent child?
Sponsorship fee ($85), principal applicant processing fee ($545) and right of permanent residence fee ($575) = $1,205
Biometric - per person = $85
