I'm sponsoring my wife . I currently hold PR , we dont have kids!. This question is regarding IMM008 dependent. Do I need to include my wife's parents as dependents? What dependent actually mean?
My wife is a march applicant and her visa office is in the Philippines. I just received her passport request email at the beginning of the week so it took about 10 months for us to get to this point!
Once she submits her visa, what happens next? she simply picks it up after she gets it and away we go to Canada? or is there something else? I'm just hoping its all over and done with. As far as I know there is just that landing interview at our port of entry (which I have no idea about)

Rome applicant here , After 10 months of processing we got an email from our Lawyer on January 11th stating that our application was in queue for scheduling of Interview on their next visit to Malta , where we both reside, Anyone have any idea how long we will wait for an appointment ... I know there is no time frame and they will do so when they are ready , but seeing the new system is in place and waiting times have been reduced , I'm hoping we will have this over with soon ,Lawyer is waiting on notes and it's been a month already since he ordered them with no response yet , Anyone have any Idea how this VO is when it comes to bent speedy ?
All the applicants and sponsors can start this forum with understanding of outland spousal process;
1. SPONSOR expectation during the first step:
a. AOR1 or Application package will send back for lack of important document
b. CIC-M might request for missing documents or updated documents - based on your spousal application package was sent
c. Medical, CIC payment, required application forms and Police report check
d. SA = Sponsor Approval email or letter
2. SPONSORED APPLICANT expectation during the second step:
e. AOR2 - from Visa Office
f. missing or updated document request - based on case to case
g. eligibility and criminality check
h. Interview if eligibility is in doubt - based on case to case
i. passport request for visa
