The time after AOR has very little to do with how long it takes to get SA. If people started getting AOR sooner or later, that would have no impact on how long it takes to get SA.
SA has been taking 40-50 days, but many people experienced longer waits. A few have had very short waits.
After the processing time listed on the website (43 days when I last checked) you can call the help center and ask for an update for your sponsorship approval. SA correspondence is often sent a week or more after they actually approve the sponsor. For our application, it took 51 days to be approved and we found out via calling on day 54.
Finally our application sent 23rd June - should be delivered today and the wait begins!! It was ridiculous (the size) the when we looked at the final package -- yikes! And I don't even think we went overboard.
I have never put together so much paperwork for a visa application of any kind for any country! Just think of all that paper being wasted = that many trees forfeited.
Maybe CIC should plant two trees for every application received to compensate for the amount of paperwork required :-- in the interest of a paperless world and environmentally friendly practices ;D

Ya from other threads, I observed that it takes 40-50 days for SA approval. But from which date it is applicable? from the date of application received or from the date of AOR1 received?

Thank you for the quick response, it was delivered only on the 16th (last week), so I guess I have a couple more weeks just to get acknowledgement, let the waiting games begin!!!
I guess I will end up joining the new July Outland Spousal group
Interesting as approving overtime for workers to get applications processed faster makes sense and it's a good incentive for people who can do so. Either that or all the files opened and entered on the Friday get batched up and sent in an overnight running job.
Please I want to ask ,we received an email on saying that our application is received on may,5th 2016....after some time we check it online and saw that medical report is received too,but up till today its more than 43 stipulated that it takes to approved the sponsorn,so I want to ask if there is problem or can it takes more than the time they write to be approved?
...my second question is ,if an applicant travel to a near by country will it affect his application or interview in any way? Thanks admin and fellow members for replying me in advance
