Lots of questions recently, so I'm just going to do a summary run down rather than quoting everyone.
First, if your AOR is coming by mail, it can take up to two weeks for CanadaPost to deliver it. Trust that your eCAS status is correct, even if you haven't received the offical AOR.
If you still waiting for AOR/SA and can't access eCAS, you can call CIC for an update, but if there isn't any news expect an answer of "you have to wait until the processing times has been updated to a date beyond your application date". I'm not sure if this works for the 800 number as well, but when calling 613-944-4000, you can hit 1 three times, wait for the voice, then 1, 2, 0 under the change of address menu, to get transfered to a live operator.
wjmund, you have Sponsor Approval. Congratulations!
Finally, I didn't write any special instructions on my application, and it was fine. It's probably safer if you do, but don't stress (like I did) if you didn't.
Don't stress too much. I realised why I didn't receive AOR through email now.. I accidentally left my email off of the Application to Sponsor for myself (previous version had it, but I had to redo for some reason and I think I was going to setup a shared email but never got around to it...)
So, don't worry too much.
That said, if either one of you has a UCI and filled it in, use the information for the person the UCI belongs to and try to logon to ECAS. I received access pretty quick after they received the app and started processing.
Do you get to see SA status in Ecas? Or it just shows decision made?
I think I might have left email out as well, accidentally.
I can log in and see details on my file with UCI. AOR was April 7, and there is no update on Ecas just yet.
I have applied for my wife TRV (Visitor Visa) on April 16th, she is from Guangxi Province China while her PR is getting processed (SA on April 22). Any idea how long it takes to get the visitor visa approved?

If decision is made that usally means you are approved as a sponsor. If you have no email on file you will recieve a letter. If you see in ECAS "decision made" that is usally SA
I called on Monday to find out why I had nor heard anything, they agent said "You don't have a email on file" and then "but I have good news, they approved you on the 23rd". I checked ECAS on Monday before I made the call and it was still In Progress. On Tuesday it showed Decision Made.
