Just an update - received PPR yesterday morning NZ time!
In the end CIC required an extra medical report for my thyroid condition which they never requested from me personally and I only found out about by calling my medical dr and asking him to follow up on why my medical had not been approved yet. They had apparently not requested it directly from the dr who did my medical but when they logged in to emedical system the request was there. Took a few weeks to be referred and cost an extra 350 NZD. The report was send Monday and had PPR weds AM. Nothing updated in GCKey yet apart from medical passed now. Had PPR through email.

Also to note - I never got AOR2 or any notifications or letters from CIC between biometric request and medical request and PPR. If I had not sent several messages through web service to find out what was going on with my medical and called the drs myself I would still be sat here waiting! Everytime I had a response to a query it was different - some saying they had my medicals, some saying they didnt.

This morning my bg processing changed from we will send a message when we start processing your application to we are processing you application we will contact you if we need more information. Does this mean that the background check had begun? No change in ecas or not even a ghost update in GcKey. Just a random change in this line item in GcKey.

mine of was other way around. since Aor 1, my bg was We are processing ........ after i saw Ghost Update on my profile, it changes to your application in progress.we will send a message when start.......

I really do hope that this is the case, but i think we are still not close to the PPR. Primarily because we haven't done the biometrics yet and there have been cases where this status has been there for long time. Obviously each case is different, i want nothing more than this ordeal to be done, but i think we still way a little more distance to go. I sincerely hope all of us have some answers soon.

Background they begin after criminal and security checks are complete. if they dont request for any additional documents or you dont have to attend an interview its al lgood then
