On the COPR email it says:
"Until you obtain Canadian Citizenship, your permanent residence status may be revoked if you are not present in Canada for at least 730 days within 5 years..."
Does this mean that after 5 years of living in Canada, that this condition doesn't apply anymore even if you don't get citizenship? We plan on living in Canada for way longer than that, but I am a permanent resident of Australia and in the distant future who knows, we may end up in Australia for awhile.
Just got off the phone with CIC this morning.
The woman told me that my Schedule A and PCC were attached to my account/ file even though I sent them ahead of time. So that was good to know that they had them.
She did say, however, that everything that needs to be done is Mississauga has been done. so she doesn't understand why it hasn't been transferred to the VO. So she said she will be sending them a message telling them that they need to transfer it.
she said it will most likely go to Ottawa. but my BGC hasn't even been started.
She said she's only doing this because it's been 3 months and we haven't heard anything.
I've read from the facebook group that this is actually normal for OUTLAND application.
Anyone else experience this?
Congratulations, I'm happy for you and thank you for sharing it gives us hope. We applied Dec 9 in Manila also, I thought the files were handled in chronological order though so I'm surprised we are still In Progress...

No its not chronological it all depends on the country the applicant is from and the info required by the VO. Also some VO are slower than others too
My application dates from Dec 7th 2016.
I ordered my notes on May 19th and hope i will have some light into what is happening.
Dont know why are u so worried you just filed last January .. just to remind you a lot of 2016 applicants are still waiting just like myself so be patient .. in gods time ....

Ahhh, I guess you don't know that I have had a Decision made on my pr already.. I dunno if you keep updated with this thread, and I guess you haven't checked my timeline. I am a DECEMBER applicant! Not January. Dude we totally all are patient here. Yeah hope your application won't take long enough for you to complain! LOL cause all i'm waiting for is a PPR email to let you know.

I guess it's all different.. As they say, our applications are all unique... Keep up the hope, even I haven't got my PPR request yet. but all good. At least my ECAS has already a decision. In time I would get the email.. I hope it runs fast for everyone! I know the VO does also want everything done as much as us too.. It's really hard to wait for something you don't know when would come. I almost was at a point where I wanted to quit work and just visit my husband in Canada while waiting until such time for a decision. For me it is easy, am lucky to have been granted a TRV. Pero they had their decisions done, I guess I would just have to wait for the email.. Saves me a return ticket.
