I've seen other people post that Ottawa VO is very fast, but mainly for American applicants. I have a feeling they did the first part very fast for me and now it will just be left to sit for ages.
I wouldn't be too worried about the time it's taking. It's pretty normal and it hasn't even been that long considering they say the processing time is 12 months. For my partner to sponsor me in Australia it took 6 months and we're only at 3 months for the Canadian one so could be awhile to go!

I got my GCMS notes yesterday, and discovered that while my background check was started on January 19th on MyCIC, everything finished up by the 20th and showed as passed, including Eligibility. Then everything sat idle until the 7th of February when we saw DM, and it took another week after that to generate the PPR e-mail. Eligibility said Recommended Passed on December 13th. It was really interesting to see how long it actually takes to get to the point of finally generating the COPR once the background check is complete, and how long you can sit waiting after the background check is actually finished before getting final word.

Hi danawhitaker. I applied for my second set of notes on March 7th, too, and my notes were released a while ago. Nothing much was in there except for their initial review on our relationship as the notes were generated on the 8th of March.. Did you check if yours were released today as well?
absolutely nothing. LVO are working on May / June / July / August applications as of now. We should be hearing something by September / October at the earliest unless they pick up some pace.
I think you misunderstood. Skyzee's entire process from start to end was impressively fast. Their wait from 'Background check in progress' was unusually long (about 6 weeks from late Feb to early April). That often takes same day or less than a week.
