I believe we will be moving back to Australia temporarily for now and applying for residency there until this whole Canadian process is streamlined. It's difficult living in a country for almost 6 years to leave but I understand the process.

I just logged in to myCIC and saw that Background Check is now In Progress. YAY!
It hasn't changed in ECAS yet though.
It's funny how this works because I signed in to check this morning which would've been around 5:00pm Ottawa time and it said Not Started. I log in now just after midnight Ottawa time and it says In Progress....Weird office hours haha
I just logged in to myCIC and saw that Background Check is now In Progress. YAY!

I'm not sure about this.
My application was overlooked by a government constituent and I believe on IMM008 you have an option to withdraw at a $75 penalty. Can anyone confirm what exactly the process is when withdrawing?
