Can any one tell me how they process the applications? in the order when they recieve it or based on the mood of the person working? ...This is frustrating.... the waiting not knowing if they have my file or not, its been almost 24 days
You're likely to get something in the next few days

Don't forget, there was Christmas and New Year in that 24 day period, so the office would have been completely closed for some days, and the officers probably took vacation time between them meaning slower processing over those days, *and* then slower as they catch up on the backlog that built up.

Hopefully i will hear something soon. But i understand it was during the holiday season, but the thing is there are some people their application was recieved on the 29th and they already got AOR and even SA

I know it doesn't feel good when you see other people getting aor and sa. But I sent mine on the 28th and I haven't heard anything either. No email, can't link to either ecas or mycic. It can be frustrating but it could be anything. Like holidays, maybe an officer who has your application might be slower than another. I know for me we didn't validate with barcode so all the info has to be entered by the cic person. Which I'm sure will slow my response down. Just try to keep the faith! Hard I know. I obsessively check like 20 times a day.
I was finally able to log in to ECAS today :')
Waiting for that SA still!

The spreadsheet in the signature holds December's submissions. Is there one that extends further back to get a feel for how long things are taking?

Just check the main forum - all the threads are in the same title format, eg **NOVEMBER 26 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS** **JULY 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS** etc. The spreadsheets will be linked in many places throughout the threads.
Also look for the visa office spreadsheet, which will often have its own dedicated thread (eg 'spousal applicants LONDON', 'outland Manilla applicants here'), and give you a longer view, focused specifically on your visa office.

Hopefully it would be some days around this week. I am very sure I have entered my email and address right. So I think there is nothing that can go wrong. The waiting just makes you paranoid.

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on December 13, 2016.
We started processing your application on December 12, 2016.
Permanent Residence
We received XXXXXX's application for permanent residence on December 5, 2016.
We started processing XXXXXX's application on December 28, 2016.

it means that your application is already sent to the applicant's visa office and they started processing it.

AOR2 means Acknowlegement of Receipt from your visa office = they received your file from CPC once sponsor is approved, to proceed with applicants file..
