just picked up my passport at the post office.
Applied in person at service Canada on May 19 , no travel date , no urgency.
Almost exactly 17 weeks plus mailing time .
I applied on 06-Jun at Service Canada in person. This is my 17th week. Wondering how much mailing time I should add?

Hi everyone, I had a quick question regarding the passport application. I have a few questions for anyone in a similar situation:

Section 1:
Mother's surname at birth: if I was adopted and don't know my birth mother's surname, what do I put for this? do I use my adoptive mother's surname?

Section 2:
Guarantor:
just wanted to confirm, can this be a relative, like an aunt or uncle?

Section 7:

For employment section, if I am still working for the employer currently what do you put as end date? can you leave this blank since I don't have a end date as of now?

Thanks in advance for any help with these.
Section 2: guarantor could be any one who know to you .
Section3: you can put the date you are apply for passport as of end date.

Applied on June 7th, still waiting as well. Probably 1 more week for mailing time

Oh wow, wanted to check other's experiences to see where I'm at currently. It seems like the govt. now operates at ludicrous speeds.

From ON to QC (first time application, marked 46 days or more)
Sent: Aug 22
Received: Aug 24
CC Charged: Aug 26

I hope everything goes well from now on. I'll write an update post once I receive the passport.

Citizenship Certificate received: Sep 27

I'm now waiting for my passport.

Hi

I went to the Etobicoke Service Canada centre as per the scheduled appointment in July 1st week and submitted my passport application. The citizenship certificate was returned immediately. I was given a file number for reference and was told that the expected dispatch date is September 15th - its been almost 2 weeks past September 15th but I haven't received my passport yet.

I raised a request here (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...eck-passport-travel-document-application.html) asking for status. It's been a week and I haven't received any response yet. I tried calling the number provided in the acknowledgement receipt but it keeps on telling me to use the website to raise a status enquiry request

So my questions are:
1. Is there any alternate way to track the status of my passport application ?
2. Does Service Canada actually stick to the expected dispatch dates ? Is it normal to not receive the passport even after 2 weeks have elapsed since the expected dispatch date ?

Any insights would be helpful

applied for my passport today with the Travel on November 1st.
I was told by the agent at Service Canada that I should be getting my passport by October 28. Hope it comes on that date.

I applied by mail 10 days ago. My credit card was charged yesterday and today one of my references was called. I'm very surprised how quick this is going. Keeping my fingers crossed for fast processing.
Did they contact your guarantor or references?
