Canadian Passport in person timeline

Hey! I have a similar situation where I submitted my application for express service but due to a visa requirement so I will be needing the passport earlier to apply for the visa. I too had to provide a statement and they kept my e-cert.

Where did you check that the status said approved? Did you call them?

and were any of your references/guarantor called?

Oath Date - 4th Sep
Passport application - 6th Sep (in person 74 Victoria St, Toronto)
Express requested - Yes ( Extra 50$, Total $216) Need to show proof of travel and write a letter explaining situation.
Passport received - 11th Sep

My timeline below -

Submitted application (for me and my wife) on 27th Aug with an appointment in Kitchener Passport Office. (took about 20 mins).
Agent asked him any travel plans and I said thinking of going to Iceland on 16th Sept. She asked if tickets are already booked to which I answered not yet. She herself informed that Passports will be ready for pick up on 11th Sept.
Paid $360 for both Passports with Pick Up fee.
Passport picked up on 11th Sept (took about 5 mins).

Have line-ups gotten better at GTA offices for walk-ins or is it the same looong line ups daily ?? Are people still being rejected after lining up for hours at office like Scarborough or Mississauga ?
Any updates are appreciated for passport applying in-person now that kids are in school for most.

After that no update . Even on tracker my status changed to cant give application status now . Waiting for my passport till now . Have travel plans in next month. What should i do ?

Applied for my passport in person at the Brampton Passport Service center on 24/09. Checked status online today and it says
"Your application is approved. Your passport will be available for pick-up on the date indicated on your receipt."

According to my receipt, the pick up date is 10/09. Can I go and pick it up earlier or do I need to wait till the 9th of October?

You can try. If it's not ready earlier, they'll tell you ... wait for it ... that it's not ready yet.

I applied for a passport in person at a Service Canada office. I provided my application, Certificate of Citizenship, and driver's license. The agent scanned all the documents, and everything went smoothly. After making the payment, the agent gave us a receipt, but we noticed that there was a mistake—"one letter" in my given name was incorrect on the receipt.

When I track my application online, it only shows results when I enter the name from the receipt, not the name I filled out on the application or the one on my ID.

My question is? Will the name on the receipt be used on my passport, or will they refer to my application, ID, and other documents to use the correct name?
