Is this normal? I thought CIC does the background check after the medical exam and biometrics...

As soon as I linked my application with GCkey on Feb 15th 2019, my eligibility requirements and background check status have said the same as yours. I know others who have had this too.

Can some one advise if they heard any thing from Mississauga office after wk-1 March file transfer?

Dec 20th applicant here. Mine got transferred to Mississauga on March 8th. Heard nothing since. Didn’t expect to either, as already got medical and biometrics request, plus sponsor approval before then.

Its been 15 days since medical done. No updates on ecas if medical results have been received ( but i asked IOM-Manila if they already submitted my med results, they said they did same day after my medical exam was done on march 4) no update also in Gckey if my medical exam got passed. Is there anyone same experience as mine? Hoping for updates sooooooon.

Same here received file transfer notice on March 1st. So far haven’t seen anyone got updates from this batch yet

Actually, your is even better than mine. My BGC is "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check"
